Scurvy is caused due to deficiency of Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid)..

The symptoms of this disease are:-
Anemia
Edema
Ulceration
Loss of teeth..

The disease can be prevented by eating vitamin  C rich foods like bananas, oranges, kiwi, guava, etc..
