Because there is no oxygen in gaseous form under the sea and we can't breath oxygen dissolved in water.

Jyk: plz mark as brainliest..
gagandeepkajla: Because oxygen only in gases state when the sea drivers go very deep in the sea level pressure of water higher as compare to an upper layer of seawater.water fills the space no oxygen provided at the deep sea level so the drivers carry the oxygen cylinder. without oxygen cylinders, drivers can't take a breath properly them will die.

As we go lower and lower the pressure and the oxygen decrease so due to less oxygen content the sea divers carry oxygen cylinder with them and  if they do not get oxygen there is chance of even die.
