1.Osmosis- Osmosis is the procedure in which water absorption through semi permeable membranes happens at high concentration levels. Semi permeable membranes pertain to tissues found in the plant roots; from there, water will be transported to an area with much lower concentration levels. The roots pull in the available water while the salt pulls out the water. After regular exposure to too much sodium, plants will shrivel and die.
Plants on the other hand require potassium; the presence of  high sodium in sea water causes less of potassium availability.  Further high salts in water make the water potential to be low (negative) as compared to the cell sap of roots.
2.Animals require some means of separating salt from water, as is demonstrated in the process known as osmosis. Too much salt waters down your blood and dries out your cells, while too little salinity does the reverse, causing your cells to swell and pop.
3.
Rainwater is usually soft, which makes it a good option for watering your flowers and plants.Rain water gives health benefits to animals
4.Hence, Sea water is highly saline and it cannot be used for the growth of plant and the drinking for animal but rainwater can be used for the growth of plant and the drinking for animal
