- Chandrayaan
Chandrayaan stopped operating in 2009, so there are no recent accomplishments, but there are several others.
Moon Impact Probe (MIP), a small probe released by Chandrayaan at an altitude of 100km impacted Moon surface after 25 minutes of descent. MIP instruments confirmed the presence of water on Moon. This was made possible because of the very low 100 km orbit of Chandrayaan. No other spacecraft had done a similar orbit or observation.
Chandrayaan, in its 312 day life, took around 70000 pictures of Moon surface, reaching up to a resolution of 5 meters. Both the number and the resolution are impressive. Together with the Laser Ranging instrument, these images helped make a 3D atlas of the Moon.
Chandrayaan's images help break the myth of Apollo landings. It took images of Apollo landing sites and Lunar rover which was used by astronauts back in 1970s.
Chandryaan's observations helped scientists collect evidence for Lunar Magma Ocean Hypothesis (won't go into details)
- Mangalyaan
Mangalyaan is more relevant today. The accomplishments, although, are not as great as finding water on Moon. Here are some of them
The global (full-disk) images taken by Mangalyaan are the only ones being taken at present. With these full disk images several Mars features are visible at once. Ice on south pole, dust storm on north pole, plains on mid latitude etc. With the full disk images the transient weather can be studied better.
Global Albedo Map: The global view of methane emissions on Mars captured by MOM over 5 months. One of the major scientific objectives of Mangalyaan.

Mangalyaan detected high altitude dust/clouds, origin of which is still unknown.
Mangalyaan has taken detailed images of several craters : Schiaparelli Crater, Gale Crater, Pital Crater, Huygens Crater, Roddy crater and Dejnev crater. But nothing others have not done already.
Mangalyaan has taken several pictures of regions where water once flowed on Mars like Ladon Valles, Margaritifier Terra, EaoChaos, Mangala Valles etc. Channel of past flowing water can be seen in these images
MOM has captured several volcanoes on Mars with water vapor clouds and several regions with wind streaks.
Global Temperature Map: The map of global temperature on Mars observed by MOM from the highly elliptical orbit. Highest temperature measured is 294K (21 deg Celsius).
