Chandrayaan was the first lunar probe of India that launched back in 2008 by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The recent news about Chandrayaan is that the ISRO is about to send another Lunar Probe named Chandrayaan II by March of 2019.
Chandrayaan I was launched with a lunar orbiter and an impactor but it is officially announced that the Chandrayaan II will carry a Soft Lander Rover to the Moon.
Mangalyaan was the first Mars mission of India and is currently orbiting Mars since 2014. It was launched back in 2013 by ISRO. Mangalyaan bought a name that India was the first Asian nation to launch a space probe to the Mars orbit.
1. Chandrayaan
Chandrayaan quit working in 2009, so there are no ongoing achievements, yet there are a few others.
Moon Impact Probe (MIP), a little test discharged by Chandrayaan at a height of 100km affected Moon surface following 25 minutes of plunge. MIP instruments affirmed the nearness of water on Moon. This was made possible due to the specific low 100 km circle of Chandrayaan. No other shuttle had completed a similar circle or perception.
2. Mangalyaan
Mangalyaan is increasingly important today. The achievements, despite the fact that, are not as incredible as discovering water on Moon. Here are some of them
The worldwide (full-circle) pictures taken by Mangalyaan are the main ones being taken at present. With these full circle pictures a few Mars highlights are visible without a moment's delay. Ice on south post, dust storm on north shaft, fields on mid scope and so on. With the full plate pictures the transient weather can be examined better.
