eq (2)-eq(1)⇒(1/x+3/y)-(1/x-4/y)=9-5

1/x is cancel since one is +ve and one is -ve.....then

3/y+4/y=4

taking l.c.m.and cross multiply...7=4y

y=7/4

then we put the value of y in eq(1) or (2)....

i put the value in eq (1)..then we get...⇒1/x-16/7=5(putting the valiue of y)...⇒1/x=5+16/7

⇒1/x=51/7

⇒x=7/51
