Sometimes its properties remain uneven throughout the mixture and sometimes not and thus it can be either homogeneous or may be heterogeneous.

Seawater is a colloid.Colloid is a mixture which seems like homogenous but is heterogenous.Seawater looks like a homogenous mixture but is heterogenous.
