we know that

secA = 1/cosA

tanA = sins/cosA

now

( 1 /cosA + sinA /cosA ) ( 1 - sinA )

= ( 1 + sinA ) ( 1 - sinA )/ cosA

= 1² - sin²A / cosA

= cos²A / cosA

= cosA
