=====================
Formula to be used ::
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
=> Sec² A - Tan² A = 1

=> x² - y² = (x+y) (x-y)

Given
---------
Sec A + Tan A = 3....... (1)

So,

Sec² A - Tan² A = 1

or. \: \:  ( \sec(a)  +  \tan(a) )( \sec(a)  -  \tan(a) ) = 1 \\  \\ or. \:  \: 3 \times ( \sec(a)  -  \tan(a) ) = 1 \\  \\ or. \:  \:  \sec(a)  -  \tan(a)  =  \frac{1}{3} .....(2)

Now adding equation (1) and (2) we get,

Sec A + Tan A = 3
+ Sec A - Tan A = ⅓
------------------------------
2 Sec A = 3 +⅓

or, Sec A = ½ × (9+1)/3 = ½× 10/3

or, Sec A = 5/3 ___answer__
