Step-by-step explanation:

sec^A - tan^2A =1

→(secA - tanA )(secA+tanA)=1

→(secA -tanA)p=1

→sec A - tanA =1/p .....(1)

subtracting eq (1), with secA +tanA =p

2 tanA =p-1/p

→tanA=(p^2-1)2p

It is not a 4 marker question

In maximum it can be asked for 3 marks otherwise 2 marks or objective

Answer:

sec theta + tan theta = p ...(1)

this implies

sec theta - tan theta = 1/p ...(2)

now we have 2 equations

subtract ..(2) from ..(1)

we get

2tan theta = p - 1/p

2tan theta =( p²-1)/p

tan theta = (p²-1)/2p

hope this will help you
