HELLO DEAR,

we know that:-

(sec²theta-tan²theta)=1-----(1)

now,

sectheta + tantheta =2

[ Multiply both side by (sectheta-tantheta)]

We get,

(Sectheta+tantheta) (sectheta-tantheta) = 2( sectheta-tantheta)

=> Sec²theta-tan²theta = 2(sectheta-tantheta)-------using (1)

=> 1=2( sectheta-tantheta)

=> Sectheta-tantheta=1/2

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS

Hey !!

here given sec¢ - tan¢ = 1

As you know that sec²¢ - tan²¢ = 1

so, sec²- tan²¢ = (sec¢ + tan¢ )( sec¢ - tan¢ )= 1

=>but (sec¢ + tan¢ ) = 2 ( given )

so.. 2 ( sec¢ - tan¢ ) = 1

sec¢ - tan¢ = 1/2 Answer

hope it helps !!
