Second Carnatic War

Explanation:

The Carnatic Wars refers to a series of military conflicts between the British East India Company and French East India Company along with the role played by the Nawab of Carnatic and the Nizam of Hyderabad. Three wars were fought between 1745 and 1763.

The cause of the second Carnatic War was the interference of the English and the French in politics of the native rulers with a view to enhancing their political power and area of influence. It is also called the Siege of Arcot, in which the British won. After this, many battles were fought and Chanda Sahib was killed in one of them. Muhammad Ali was installed as the Nawab of the Carnatic. The war ended with the Treaty of Pondicherry in 1754 and it is said to have brought laurels to the British as they won it.

• During the mid of 1700's the British East India company e had fought many wars that were military and trade to push out the  trade that French East India Company had been doing in India and by pushing them they could have said there forth on the regions of India.
• The struggles in this time were both military as well as diplomatic to show their dominance over certain areas and to capture the territories where others were popular.  
• There were over all three Carnatic Wars that were fought during this period but second Carnatic war was more effective and gave recognition to British East India company because the carnatic region had its dependency over Hyderabad and during the second Carnatic War in this area was taken into dominance thereby giving laurels to the Britishers.
