The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the applied force and takes place in the direction of the applied force.

eg: A cricket player while catching a ball, lowers his hands in the direction of the ball.

In simple terms, the more force applied the faster the rate of change of momentum.

Rate of change of momentum can be defined in simple terms as the change in the power(momentum) in a particular time.

If more time, then less force and less is the rate of change of momentum.

If less time, Then faster is the rate of change of momentum and the more is force.

➡SECOND LAW OF MOTION :-

✴the acceleration produced in an object is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force and is inversely proportional to the mass of object.

⚫directly proportional means if acceleration will increase, magnitude of net force will also increase and vice versa.

⚫inversely proportional means if acceleration will increase , the mass of object will decrease and vice versa.
