Gymnosperm is a subdivision of plants with naked seeds. They show following important characteristics:
✍️They are the most primitive and simplest seed bearing plants.
✍️ They are usually perennial, evergreen and woody plants, including trees and shrubs.
✍️ The seeds produced by these plants are naked and not enclosed within the fruit.
✍️ Their seeds contains a food storage tissue called endosperm for future growth of embryo during germination.
