Given : the single phase 80kva, 1000/250 V transformer

To Find : secondary current drawn

Solution:

single phase 80kva, 1000/250 V transformer

Power = 80kva  = 80000 va

Power = Primary Voltage * primary current  = Secondary voltage * secondary current

1000/250 V

Primary Voltage = 1000V

Secondary voltage = 250V

80000 = 1000 * Primary current

=> Primary current = 80 A

80000 = 250 * Secondary Current

=> Secondary current  = 320  A

secondary current drawn by the single phase 80kva, 1000/250 V transformer will be 320A
