Answer:

Continental plates are formed due to cooling of magma. This are formed when two plates collide with each other and one plate moves down another. The plate moving down gets heated tremendously due to the internal heat of the Earth and melts this way it gets destroyed.

Answer. Continental Plates lie in the Earth’s mantle and they are continuously moving. Mantle is a layer in Earth between the crust and upper core.

i. It consists of a hard material which was formed by cooling of molten magma.

ii. As continental plates move up at different speeds of few centimetres per year, they collide with each other. After the collision, one of the plates moves up and other moves down.

iii. Some plates get destroyed directly due to the collision.

iv. Plates which are not get destroyed by collision and move down get destroyed due to intensive heat present the earth.

v. This destruction of plates came out as magma after many years.
