apply f=ma on 5kg object

F=ma (upward)

t1 - t2-mg =ma

t1 - t2 -50 = 5×2

t1 - t2 = 60N ⇒[1]

then apply F=ma again for the second object (3kg)

F=ma (upward)

t2 - mg = 3×2

t2 - 30 = 6

t2 = 36N⇒[2]

therefore to get t1 value, substitute the value you got for t2 to the 1st equation

t1 -t2 = 60

t1 - 60 = 36

t1 = 96N
