(x + 2 )= 0 \\ x =  - 2

 p( - 2) =  { - 2}^{3}  + 8 { (- 2)}^{2}+ 15( - 2) + a( - 2) - 6 = 0

 ( - 8) + 8(4)  - 30 - 2a - 6 = 0

 - 8 + 32 - 36 - 2a = 0

32 - 44 - 2a = 0

 - 12 - 2a = 0

 - 2a =  - 12

MINUS & MINUS GETS CANCALLED AND U GET.

2a = 12 \\ a =  \frac{12}{2}  \\ a = 6
