Step-by-step explanation:

1) Rate of interest = 12°/•

Simple Interest = ₹ 180

Time = 3 years

Principal Amount = (SI × 100) / r ×t

= 180×100 / 12×3

= ₹500

2) Rate of interest = 10°/•

Simple Interest = ₹ 150

Time = 5 years

Principal Amount = (SI × 100) / r ×t

= 150×100 / 10×5

= ₹300

3) Cost of railway ticket = ₹720

Tax applied on ticket = 2°/•

Total cost of ticket = 2°/• of 720 + 720

= 2×720/100 + 720

= 1440/100 +720

= 14.4 + 720

= ₹734.4

4) Speed of car = 48 km/h

Time taken = 7 hours

Distance covered = speed × time

= 48×7

= 336 km

If speed is decreased by 20 km/h

New speed of car = 48-20

= 28 km/h

Distance covered = 336 km

Time taken = Distance / speed

= 336/28

= 12 hours

6) Rate of interest = 12.5 °/•

Principal Amount = ₹ 1800

Simple Interest = ₹3125

Time = SI×100 / p×r

= 3125×100 / 1800×12.5

= 250/18

= 13 years and 8/9 months

7) (i) 75°/•

(ii) 50°/•

8) (i) 1000°/•

(ii) 500°/•

9) 10 workers are paid ₹1680 per day

money paid to 1 worker per day = 1680/10

= ₹168

Money paid to 28 workers per day = 28×168

= ₹4704

Hope it helps.
