SECTION - A<br />(Reading)<br />Read the passage carefully and answer the question given below:- ( 1X8 = 8)<br />When the earth was formed, God made sure that it was balanced beautifully,<br />giving appropriate weight age to each living and non-living thing. Still we see,<br />most of us appreciate beauty and look down upon something which is ugly. But<br />sometime it so happens that it is the ugly which thus out to be more useful in<br />society than the magnificent creatures. Thus while a bald headed, grizzle necked<br />vulture also known as the scavenger is busy keeping the environment clean by<br />disposing of the dead and decayed bodies, beautiful peacockwith all its colour and<br />brilliant plume is only an eye candy.<br />Vultures are doing the work which keep the living things hale and hearty.<br />Unfortunately, the vultures have been ignored by man. Very few among us are<br />aware of their valuable work and also the fact that they are dwindling away.<br />Fortunately, some people have become conscious at last and are thinking that<br />man has to do something to save bird from becoming extinct.<br />1.
