it was unlucky morning I would say ..

because it had changed everything in our life .

I have never heated rainy season but this time it made me to hate .

I clearly remember that day , when we all were so happy in living our simple life , we saw a news on TV that it is going to rain heavily for 5 to 7 days n it might cause a flood coming in our area .

we all were so panicked .

After some time the rain started to fall on ground . suddenly there was a cut out electricity in our locality .

after 1day we got to know that there was water astride the roads n it stated to drown it .

n since then there was no electricity in our area .

It had been raining continuously for 7 days .

we felt a watery touch in our leg n what we saw was difficult to explain .

there was water around our house n people of our locality started to leave that place .

though we loved our house so much still we had to leave this behind .

we did not know where to go but at that time there were some people who helped us to reach a refugee camp .

we lived there for 2 to 3 days n it was a unforgettable period of my life .

The flood situation in Assam has worsened with the death of about 500 people in the last three days. Due to the heavy monsoons, the river water level of the adjoining Brahmaputra River has further risen above the danger mark. The Regional Meteorological Centre here warned of more rain and thundershowers.

Aerial survey of the place was conducted to estimate the loss. The area has about 8000 houses underwater, two hundreds of dead bodies of man and animals floating in the water. The state government has opened 2500 temporary camps besides lodging the flood-hit, sad and homeless people in trying their best to provide help and support to the trapped people. They have been provided with food packets, drinking water, milk etc. Doctors are working voluntarily to provide free treatment to the injured and ill people and also providing measures to prevent water-borne diseases.

Government has announced to pay Rs.2lakh to the family members of the deceased and Rs. One lakh to all flood-hit families, as compensation.
