Q7. While returning home from market today you noticed an extremely old
and bent woman who wanted to cross a busy road but could not do so. Since
no one else came forward for her help, you did. Write a diary entry in 120-150
words expressing your feelings about how you felt after helping the lady.

A diary entry has no fixed format or style of writing. However, a good diary entry does contain the following features : -

• A good diary writing contains the place, the date, the day and even the time of writing.
• A diary doesn’t need any formal heading. However, it is optional. If you want, you can give a suitable heading.
• The style and tone is generally informal and personal. However, it depends on the subject. Sometimes the tone can be philosophical and reflective too. You can freely express your viewpoints and feelings.
• As the diary is writer’s personal document, the diary entry doesn’t need any signature. It is totally optional.
• You can evolve your own suitable style depending on the topic of your writing.

9 P.M.

Dear Diary,

Today has been an amazing day. In my view I never forgot today. It was morning time As I was waiting to cross the road to walk to the lane where my Tuition is located, Suddenly my eyes fell on an old woman. Her faces contorted with anxiety and fear. She was looking at the cars coming to and fro and unsure of how to cross the road. I understood her situation and walked up next to her. I took her gnarled hand in mine and smiled. She looked up to me and a coursed through her eyes. I put up a hand to stop an approaching car and helped her cross the road. The cars stopped for us when the saw what I was doing and once we had reached the other side safely, it was only then that she let my hand go. She touched my shoulder and turned me around to face her and hugged me. There were tears in her eyes. She didn't seem old to me then, she looked as beautiful as a small child looking with loving eyes at a parent. After this incident, I felt that She wants to give me a gift but she was unable. In my view her blessing was my best gift in the world.
