Given : V = 230v ; resistance( R ) = 460 Ω

(a) current flowing through device ( i ) = ( V / R )

i = ( 230 / 460 ) = 0.5 amp.

(b) heat energy generated ( Q )= i²Rt

⇒ Q = 0.5² x 460 x 10

Q  = 1150 J.

(c) we know , i =  ( dq / dt )

⇒ dq = i x dt

⇒ ∫dq = ∫ i x dt

⇒ q = i x t║₀¹⁰

⇒ q = 0.5 x ( 10 - 0 )

q = 5 columb.
