2( {3}^{x}  -  {3}^{x - 1} ) = 324  \\  =  > 2( {3}^{x}  -  {3}^{x}  \div 3) = 324  \\ let \:  {3}^{x} be \: y \\  \\  =  > 2(y - y \div 3) = 324 \\  =  > y - y \div 3 = 162 \\  =  > 3y - y = 486 \\  =  > 2y = 486 \\  =  > y = 243

Therefore,

3^x = 243

=> 3^x = 3^5

=> x= 5
