To Find :-

  • Amount ( A ) after 3 years.

Formulas Used :-

  • ■ Simple Interest = ( Principle × Rate × Time ) / 100
  • ■ Amount = Simple Interest + Principle

Calculation :-

■ Simple Interest = ( Principle × Rate × Time ) / 100

Substituting the values given, We get,

⇒ Simple Interest = ( 36,000 × 8 × 3 ) / 100

Cancelling the zeroes of 36,000 and 100, We get,

⇒ Simple Interest = ( 360 × 8 × 3 )

⇒ Simple Interest = Rs. 8,640

Simple Interest = Rs. 8,640

Now calculating the Amount,

■ Amount = Simple Interest + Principle

Substituting the calculated values,

⇒ Amount = Rs. 8,640 + Rs. 36,000
