• I don't know if you remember me, but you might. I was in your class several years ago, and I was kind of a joke to you on a regular basis.  

• You wouldn't remember me by the seat I sat in, because you had to change my seat a lot, Now that I think of it, you might remember me by where I sat because you had to move me so much that by halfway through the year, I pretty much just had to sit beside you  I am writing to you for two reasons.
• First, I want to apologize for the way that I acted in your class.  I was going through a lot in my life at the time that you did not know about, but it is no excuse. You were always kind to me, and I treated you badly.  For that, I am sorry. That leads to the second reason for this letter. I need to thank you. Thank you for how you did treat me kindly despite my Tune here to coorch.Thank you for how you did treat me kindly despite my behavior.
• Thank you for never giving up on me.  Thank you for not letting me give up on myself. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for being you! My life is different now.
• I have learned a lot of hard lessons since I was in your class, but what you and your  example have always stuck with me. Life is good now.
• When I look back, you are one of the people I need to thank for that.  You did not know the difference that you made, but you made a major difference.
