In series combination Equivalent Resistance

Req = R1 + R2 + R3

Req = 5 + 5 + 5

Req = 15 \: ohm

  • By Ohm's Law

v \:  = i \: .Req

i \:  =  \frac{v}{Req}

i \:  =  \frac{15}{15}

i \:  = 1 \: ampere

  • Since all resistors are connected in series so same current flow through them which is 1 Ampere
  • By Ohm's Law

Potential Difference = i × R

= 1 × 5 = 5 Volt
