Hot soup is more tasteful than the cold one because the surface tension of the hot soup is less than that of the cold and so spreads over a larger area of the tongue.

we know that the surface tension of a liquid decrease with the increase in temperature so the surface tension of hot soup is less than that of cold one and hence hot soup spreads over a large area of the tongue of a person this make the hot soup more tasty than the cold one
