An object is said to be in motion (moving) if it moves with respect to a stationary object in its surrounding.
An object is said to be at rest (still) if it does not move with respect to a stationary object.
When we look outside of the window of our classroom, we can see many moving objects like cars moving on the road, birds flying in the air, people walking around, swinging of the branches of trees.
objects which are at rest (still) are: cars parked on the road, people sitting on the roadside, the stems or trunks of trees, buildings, houses, and many more.
