We know that :-

So here Final position is at Point D

And Distance till point D=40+100

Distance  till point D=140 m

And initial position is nothing but the starting point which is Point A

Distance till point A=20 km

So displacement =(+140)-(+20)

Displacement=120 metres

Now let's calculate the distance travelled:-

Distance till A to B =40+100+40

==>180 metres

Distance till B to C =40+100

==>140 metres

So distance=180+140

Distance=320 metres
