  • At first, connect an imaginary battery across points A and B.Then, write the potential across each resistor and rearrange the circuit. After that, we will see that all 4 resistors are connected in a parallel combination. And according to the given question we are given the value of R is equal 16.

Equivalent resistance when n no of resistors are connected in parallel is given by:-

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \red {:\implies\sf{\dfrac{1}{R_p}= \dfrac{1}{R_1}+ \dfrac{1}{R_2}... + \dfrac{1}{R_n}}}\\\\

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: :\implies\sf{\dfrac{1}{R_p}= \dfrac{1}{R}+ \dfrac{1}{R} + \dfrac{1}{R}+\dfrac{1}{R}}\\ \\

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: :\implies\sf{\dfrac{1}{R_p}= \dfrac{4}{R}}\\ \\

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: :\implies\sf{R_p= \dfrac{R}{4}}\\ \\

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: :\implies\sf{R_p= \dfrac{16}{4}}\\ \\

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: :\implies \red { \boxed { {\sf{R_p= 16 Ω}}}}\\ \\
