Answer:

i) 125 mixers

ii) 1050 mixers

Step-by-step explanation:

i) 650+850/12=125

ii) =850-650=200

   =850+100*=950

*200/2=100 because 4th year to 8th year it is 4 months and after that we should calculate for 10th year so it's only 2 years ahead

Answer:

  1. 500 mixers were produced in first year
  2. 725 mixers were produced in the 10th year

Step-by-step explanation:

let us assume that company manufactured t_{n} in the {n}^{th} year then as per given information .

ATQ,

t_{4} = 650 \:  \:  t_{8} = 850

 = t_{n} = a + (n - 1)d

 = t_{4} = a + (4 - 1)d \\ =  a + 3d = 650....(1) \\   = t_{8} \:  = a + (8 - 1)d

t_{8} = a + 6d = 850

a + 3d = 650 ; substituting a = 650 - 3d

=650 - 3d + 7d = 850

= 7d - 3d = 850 - 650

= 4d = 200

= d = 200 ÷ 4

= d = 50

Now,

= a + 3d = 650

= a + 3 × 50 = 650

= a + 150 = 650

= a = 650 - 150

= a = 500

  • Production in the first year was 500

production in 10 year =

tn = a + (n - 1)d

t10 = 500 + (10 - 1 )× 25

= 500 + 225

= 725

  • Therefore, there were 725 Productions in the 10th year.
