See the figure current is increasing from A to B so direction of induced current should be from B to A so as we know current flows from higher potential to lower so B should be at higher potential?

after disconnecting the current the direction of current will reverse and higher potential point also reverse.

in between both process net current will flow inside inductor so higher potential point will a/c to direction of current flowing,(you should know induced current never exceed from actual current)
