p(x) = 2x³ + ax² + 3x - 5 = (x-2) (2x² + ax +4x + 11 +2a) + 17 +4a
q(x) = x³ + x² - x + a = (x-2)(x + 3x + 5) + 10 + a
now remainders are equal
17 + 4a= 10 +a ⇒ 3a = - 7 ⇒ a = -7/3
