There are various advantages to growing seeds in nurseries and then transplanting them to fields.

A nursery is a smaller area as compared to field thus external factors such as moisture and pests can be controlled better thereby increasing the chances of seedling survival.

After it, when the seeds are transplanted to the fields they ensure that there is no overgrowth in the field, no wastage, saving of cost and labor and proper growth of healthy plants in a systematic manner.
