seeds kept in refrigerator do not germinate.why?

Germination is process in which a seed grows in to a big plant.
A seed need proper
-water
-sunlight’s
-air
-soil
Etc...
If it’s kept in refrigerator, it won’t grow as there will be no sunlight, water and even soil.
It will get frozen and eventually die
