Seeds need warmth to sprout. So, would a roasted seed sprout faster? Give reason

Answer:

No, once you roast the seed it will not be able to sprout. Seeds are technically alive but dormant until they are given the proper conditions to grow. By exposing to heat, you’re essentially killing it. Old seeds and ones that have been in the sun too long do not sprout well either. You can roast seeds after sprouting or soaking them. I love to soak pumpkin seeds in water with tamari/ soy sauce for about a day then roast them.
