The conspirators murder Caesar in the senate hall. When his friend Mark Antony enters, he is shocked to see Caesar lying dead. He calls Caesar all-mighty. He bewails that when Caesar was alive he towered above mankind. But now he is lying so low in the dust. He enquirers whether that is all that now remains all his victories, distinctions, glories and magnificent trophies brought from all parts of the world.
