Let the year=x
20+x=2(4+x)
20+x=8+2x
20-8=2x-x
12=x
therefore...in twelve years reema will be twice the age of seema i.e..32=16

Let Seema become twice as old as Reema in X years from now.
After X years Seema will be 20 + X yrs old. Reema will be 4+X years old.
so Age of Seema + X = 2 * [ Age of Reema + X ]
20 + X = 2 * [4 + X]
20 + X = 2 * 4 + 2 X
12 = X
so after 12 years, Seema will be 20+12 =32 yrs old. Reema will be 4+!2=16 yrs old. So seema will be twice as old as Reema.
After X years Seema will be 20 + X yrs old. Reema will be 4+X years old.
