Let present age of Seema be x years and present age of her daughter is y years.

Seema's age is 3 years more than 3 time the age of her daughter.

Seemas age (x) = 3 more (add) than 3 times (multiply) the age of her daughter (y).

According to question,
=> x=3y+3

But wait, in another line we have given that her mother's age i.e. Present age of Seema is 30 years.
Means, we have age of Seema = x = 30

Substitute value of x = 30 in (eq 1), to find the present age of her daughter.

=> 30=3y+3
=> 30-3=3y
=> 27=3y
=> 27/3=y
=> 9=y
=> y=9

•°• Present age of her daughter is 9 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of seema be x years and of her daughter be y years.

Seema's age is 3 years more than 3 times the age of her daughter.

Seema's age(x) =3 more(add) than 3 times (multiply) the age of her daughter (y).

According to the question,

=> x = 3y + 3

Bt wait, in another line we have given that her mother's age i.e

Present age of seema is 30 years.

Means, we have age of seema = x= 30

Substituting the value of x = 30 in (eq 1), to find the present age of her daughter.

=> 30 = 3y + 3

=> 30 - 3 = y

=> 27 = 3y

=> \frac{27} {3} = y

=> 9 = y

Present age of her daughter is 9 years.
