wide = 5000cm =50

area of rectangle = 2 (l+b)

=2×20+50

=140

she take 7 round

140×7=980

\tt Given \begin{cases} \sf{Number \: of \: rounds \: = \: 7}  \\  \sf{Length \: of \: Park \: = \: 5000 \: cm \: = \: 50 \: m} \\  \sf{Breadth \: of \: Park \: = \: 20 \: m} \end{cases}

To Find :

Distance Travelled

_____________________________

Solution :

We have to find Perimeter of Rectangle

\setlength{\unitlength}{2cm}\begin{picture}(16,4)\thicklines\put(8,3){\circle*{0.1}}\put(7.8,3){\large{A}}\put(7.6,2){\mathsf{\large{20m}}}\put(8,1){\circle*{0.1}}\put(7.8,1){\large{B}}\put(9.3,0.8){\mathsf{\large{50m}}}\put(11.1,1){\large{C}}\put(8,1){\line(1,0){3}}\put(11,1,){\circle*{0.1}}\put(8,1){\line(0,2){2}}\put(11,1){\line(0,3){2}}\put(8,3){\line(3,0){3}}\put(11,3){\circle*{0.1}}\put(11.1,3){\large{D}}\end{picture}

We have formula for Perimeter of rectangle :

\Large{\underline{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter \: = \: 2(l \: + \: b) }}}}

Put Values

⇒Perimeter = 2(50 + 20)

⇒Perimeter = 2(70)

⇒Perimeter = 140 m

∴ Perimeter of rectangle is 140 m

________________________________

Distance Travelled in First Round = Perimeter of rectangle

So,

Distance travelled in 7 rounds will be

Distance = Perimeter * 7

⇒Distance Travelled = 140(7)

⇒Distantce Travelled = 980

∴ Distance Travelled by Seema in seven rounds is 980 m
