Seeta devi has rupees 9 in 50 paise and 25 paise coins she has twice as many 25 paise coins as she has 50 paise coins . How many coins of each kind does she have?

25 paisa coin be y

50x + 25y= 900
y= 2x
so by substitution of y
we get that 100x = 900
x= 9
therefore
y = 2x
= 18
there are 18 25 paisa coins
& there are 9 50 paisa coins
