  • Son's present age is 6 years.
  • Fathers present age is 30 years.

\huge\underline\mathrm{SOLUTION:-}

Suppose the man's son's present age be x years.

So, the man's present age is 5x years.

After two years:-

Man's age will be=5x+2 years and

His son's age will be=x+2 years

According to the question,

=> 4(x+2)=5x+2

=> 4x+8=5x+2

=> 4x-5x=2-8

=> -x=-6

=> x=6

So, the son's present age is 6 years and the

father's present age is 5×6 = 30 years
