Let the number of sweets Sekhar be x

Sekhar gave quarter of sweets to Renu =x/4

Shekhar gave 5 sweets to Raji=x-5

He has 7 sweets left

So the equation is as follows-

x-x/4-5=7

4x-x-20/4=7

3x-20/4=7

3x-20=7 x 4

3x-20=28

3x=28+20

3x=48

X=48/3

x=16
