There are several factors that effects the movement of labor from rural area to urban area. From above mentioned following are the factors that apply:

(i) Higher Factory Wages: The wage rate of urban areas is higher than that of rural areas. There are more chances of employment and promotion as compared to rural areas.

(ii) Cultural and Educational Advantages: Lifestyles in urban areas is advance than rural areas. There is always a metropolitan culture. The educational services are better too.

(iii) Dreams of Getting Rich: Becoming rich is one of the most expected thing when a person moves to urban area from a rural area.

(iv) City Excitement and Recreation: City life is more colorful and exciting as compared to the quiet life of the rural areas.
