Koala ia an animal native to Australia. It is easily recognisable by its stout ,tailess body, large head with round fluffy ears and large spoon-shaped nose. They typically inhabit open eucalypt woodlands and the leaves of these trees make up most of their diet. They sleep upto 20 hours a day.

They are asoical animals and bonding exists only between their mother and her offspring. They usually do not like socializing with others and prefer to be alone, sleeping or eating.

But due to human activities and the Australia Fire there are only 43,000 koalas left in Australia. The Australian Koala Foundation are working hard towards making Koalas large in number once again. The people there are also aware about this and are trying to help as Koala is a species native to Australia and if animals are left to be extinct like this , it would effect the ecosystem . Tourism is also a reason for this . Many people love to see these small fluffy bears and if they are gone extinct , it will also effect the economy.
