Answer:

a) Girls' education is a strategic development priority. Better educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in the formal labor market, earn higher incomes, have fewer children, marry at a later age, and enable better health care and education for their children, should they choose to become mothers.

b) Because these days with both men and women working full time jobs it is unfair for the man to have to do all the housework or the woman to have to do it all.

So with both people working full time jobs both the man and the woman should do equal shares in the house work.

If one gender be it the man or woman is not working they should be the one to do just about all of the housework though as when in a relationship anyone that is home all day be it a woman or man should do just about all of the housework as it is unfair to the person working the full time job and then have to come home and do all the housework as well when the other person is home all day.

Two most suitable extension methods for the following situations are-

(a) To popularise education for the girl child:-

1. Creating accountability:

Girl child education initiatives will need firm accountability from the civic administration. Divisional Commissioners need to be assessed for their ability in increasing girl child enrollment. Civic authorities must also be checked regularly for other factors that push girls out of school, such as harassment, sanitation (lack of dedicated toilets for girls is a known factor in pushing girls to drop out), access to a clean and healthy mid-day meal, etc.

2. Supporting an NGO initiative’s teams:

Concerned citizens of India could work closely with various on-ground organisations providing education access and support to girl children. Volunteering with an NGO is a good start. One can lend some time out of his/her busy schedule to the cause of India’s girls. Also, as part of the community where NGOs operate, yone can ensure that there is the required support and a welcoming feeling from the communities.

(b) Importance of men sharing house work:-

1. For many couples, the division of household labour is a source of conflict.

2. Dividing housework is a highly gendered process where women perform a larger share than men, regardless of their individual-level resources.

3. Although women’s time spent in housework has declined and men’s increased from 1965–1995, women still account for the majority of the housework.

4. While women in more egalitarian countries account for less housework than those in more traditional countries, these women still perform more housework than their partners.

Two methods that can be devised are-

1. Sharing work, by setting timings per day.

2. Division of chores between a man and woman.

While these seem to be simple solutions, they can strengthen bonds between couple and also enhance the sense of gender equality.
