Correct Question :---- A body weighs 0.700 kg wt on the surface of the earth. How much will it weigh on the surface of a planet whose mass is 1/7th of the mass of the earth and radius is 1/2 of that of the earth ?

Solution :-----

First we need to Find the Gravity of That planet ,,

Using the Formula of Gravity :--- g = GM/

Planet Gravity = (GM/7)/(R²/4)

→ Planet Gravity = 4/7g

Now, We need to calculate the weight of the body on the surface of a planet Using formula of weight,,

W = m*(gravity of planet)

Putting values now we get,

w = 0.700 * 4/7

→ w = 0.400 kg wt ....

Hence, The weight of body on the surface of other planet is 0.400kg wt (Option D)...
