Hi there. As with the rest of the world, USA and Canada face the global issue of climate change. These two countries closely cooperate to solve this problem as they share an extensive border, a diverse geography and ecosystems like rivers and lakes. Because of these, they also share policies, programs, and goals to prevent and control pollution like the US-Canada Air Quality Agreement.

They have implemented 40 international agreements to manage and protect the environmental quality and ecosystems and are both active members of the North American Commission on Environmental Cooperation (CEC),  the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), EXIT the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
