There are a lot of problems associated with unemployment. People cannot provide education for their children. How can they send their kids to school if they don't have money to pay for their tuition fees. It is not just the fees that they need to pay the schools but the allowance that they need to provide for their children on a daily basis. People won't be able to sustain and provide for their family when they are unemployed.  Employment gives power to the people. They would be able to provide if they have sustainable work.

Several problems may arise from not earning and being unemployed. In simple terms, an independent person can't do anything without money. With respect to current question, people can't get food is correct, people  can support their families but when it comes to fulfilling needs, they can't do it. Well, people can afford medical treatment because that is being provided by the government but they can't afford housing at all because that is very expensive.
